The Gorai-Madhumati River (Bengali: গড়াই-মধুমতি Gôŗai-Modhumoti) is one of the longest rivers in Bangladesh and a distributary of the Ganges.[1] In the upper reaches it is called the Gorai, and the name changes to Madhumati. Madhumati continuous stream through Kushtia, Jessore, Rajbari, Faridpur, Khulna, Pirojpur and Barguna districts in Bangladesh.

Il Madhumati è un effluente del Padma (Gange) superiore, che scorre attraverso il Bangladesh sud-occidentale. Lascia il Padma poco a nord di Kushtia e scorre per 306 km verso sud-est prima di svoltare a sud attraverso la paludosa regione delle Sundarbans e sfociare nel golfo del Bengala.
