Symmetry Spire (10,565–10,645 feet (3,220–3,245 m)) is located in the Teton Range, Grand Teton National Park in the U.S. state of Wyoming.[3] The mountain, first climbed via the east ridge route on August 20, 1929, by Fritiof Fryxell and Phil Smith, towers above the northwest shore of Jenny Lake and Cascade Canyon. The scenic Lake of the Crags, a cirque lake or tarn, is located northwest of the summit and is accessed by way of Hanging Canyon. Popular with mountaineers, the spire has numerous challenging cliffs.[4][5]

Symmetry Spire ist ein Berg im Grand-Teton Nationalpark im Westen des US-Bundesstaates Wyoming.[1] Er hat eine Höhe von 3220 m und ist Teil der Teton Range in den Rocky Mountains.[2] Er erhebt sich unmittelbar westlich des Jenny Lake und liegt südlich des Hanging Canyons und nördlich des tief eingeschnittenen Cascade Canyons. Im Hanging Canyon liegt der kleine Bergsee Lake of the Crags. Der Mount Saint John liegt rund 1 km nördlich von Symmetry Spire, Rock of Ages ca. 1 km westlich.[3] Der Berg ist bei Kletterern beliebt, der Gipfel kann in 2 bis 3 Stunden ab dem Westufer des Jenny Lake bestiegen werden. Die Erstbesteigung erfolgte am 20. August 1929 durch Fritioff Fryxell und Phil Smith.[4][5]
