geo.wikisort.org - Mountains The Chaillu Mountains are a mountain range straddling southern Gabon and the Republic of Congo which is named after the French explorer Paul Du Chaillu, who explored and documented this region in the 19th century.
The Chaillu Mountains
The highest peaks are Mont Iboundji (980m), and Mt Mimongo (1020 m). The rocks of the range are sedimentary in origin.
The range is home to the rises of several rivers including the Louesse, Ogoulou , Ikoy , Lolo , Lekoko , Lebombi , and Offoue .

Il s'étend entre les villes de Koulamoutou à l'est et de Lébamba à l'ouest. Au nord, il entre profondément dans le parc national de la Lopé. Il culmine au mont Milondo, à 1 020 mètres d'altitude[2], et comprend aussi le mont Iboundji, à 972 mètres d'altitude[3]. Plusieurs affluents de l'Ogooué y trouvent leur source[1]. [ru] Шайю Шайю (фр. Massif du Chaillu) — горный массив, расположенный вдоль южной границы Габона с Республикой Конго. Горы образованы осадочными породами, самая высокая гора системы Шайю — гора Ибунджи (1024 м) одновременно является высочайшей вершиной Габона. В систему Шаюй также входит гора Мимонго (860 м).
