The Rocky Mountain Foothills are an upland area flanking the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains, extending south from the Liard River into Alberta.[1] Bordering the Interior Plains system, they are part of the Rocky Mountain System or Eastern System of the Western Cordillera of North America.[2]

Les contreforts des Rocheuses (en anglais : Rocky Mountain Foothills) sont une zone de hautes terres bordant le versant oriental des Rocheuses canadiennes, s'étendant au sud de la rivière Liard jusqu'en Alberta[1]. Bordant le système des plaines intérieures, ils font partie du système des montagnes Rocheuses ou du système oriental de la cordillère occidentale de l'Amérique du Nord[2].
