It is located in a North-South direction between the Monti Reatini at the east and the Tiber valley at the west. The upper section is the Monti Sabini proper, on the boundary between Latium and Umbria, and the Monti Lucretili sub-range, on the boundary between the province of Rieta and the Metropolitan City of Rome. The two sub-ranges are separated by the plain and hilly areas of the Sabina.

    Die Sabiner Berge (ital. Monti Sabini) sind das westliche Randgebirge des Abruzzischen Apennin, zwischen Tiber und Turano gelegen. Es nimmt den Südwesten der Provinz Rieti ein. Es ist ein aus schwach gefalteten Kreide- und Jurakalken bestehendes, waldreiches und weitgehend landwirtschaftlich genutztes Bergland. Während in den niederen Bereichen der Olivenanbau vorherrschend ist, sind die höheren Lagen von Laubwald (Buche und Eiche) bedeckt. Höchste Erhebung ist der Monte Pellecchia (1365 Meter). Stark schüttende Quellen in der Bergfußzone versorgen die Campagna Romana und Rom mit Wasser.

    I Monti Sabini sono un sottogruppo montuoso, appartenente al subappennino laziale, tra la Citta' metropolitana di Roma e la Provincia di Rieti, delimitati a ovest dal Tevere, a nord dal Nera, a est dal Velino e dal Turano, a sud dall'Aniene, con la cima più alta rappresentata dal Monte Pellecchia (1.368 m).
