The Kir (Albanian: Kir or Kiri) is a river in northern Albania that first flows south-southwest and then southwest out of the North Albanian Alps and enters a distributary of the Drin just below Shkodër.[2]

In the upper reaches the river cuts the "Canyon of the Kir" with dramatic cliffs.The Albanian tribe or fis of Kiri inhabited this area. Just outside Shkodër, in Mes, the old stone Mes Bridge crosses the Kir.

Der Kir ist ein Gebirgsfluss im Norden Albaniens. Er entwässert den als Dukagjin bezeichnete südwestliche Teil der Albanischen Alpen, insgesamt eine Fläche von 261 km². Der Fluss ist 52 Kilometer lang. Er entspringt im Herzen der albanischen Alpen südlich der Biga e Gimajive und mündet am südlichen Stadtrand von Shkodra in den Drin, keine anderthalb Kilometer bevor dieser in die Buna mündet.[1]

Ки́ри[1][2] (алб. Kiri) — река в Албании, приток Дрина. Берёт исток в массиве Проклетие у гор Мая-Маде[en] (2010,7 м), Бига[sv] (2230,1 м) и Эльбуни[en] (1971 м)[3]. Течёт в южном направлении мимо одноимённой деревни[sq], а затем в юго-западном направлении мимо деревни Дришти. Огибает Шкодер с востока и впадает южнее Шкодера в протоку Дринаса (Drinasa). Близ Шкодера, у деревни Меси находится старый каменный мост Меси[4].
