Maligrad (Albanian: Maligrad, also Qytet i Vogël "small city"; Macedonian: Мал Град, Mal Grad "small city/town") is an island situated deep within the Albanian part of Lake Prespa, with many caves suitable for wildlife and a circular cliff.[1] Shaped like a tadpole, it contains some trees and an area of sand. The island contains a famous Saint Mary Church, built by Kesar Novak (Qesar Novaku), a local noble, in 1369.[2] It has an area of almost 5 hectares.

Maligrad (talvolta scritto come Mali Grad[1]; in greco è nota come isola di San Paolo, Aghios Pàvlos, 'Αγιος Παύλος) è un'isola lacustre situata nel profondo della parte albanese[2] del Lago di Prespa, con numerose grotte adatte per la fauna selvatica ed una falesia circolare. Con forma simile a un girino, contiene alcuni alberi e una superficie di sabbia. L'isola contiene la famosa Chiesa di Santa Maria, costruita da Kesar Novak (Qesar Novaku), un nobile locale, nel 1369[3].
