Rosevear ist eine unbewohnte Insel der Scilly-Inseln und Hauptinsel der Western Rocks. Das Eiland ist vor allem für die Vielzahl von Schiffen bekannt, die in ihren Untiefen gesunken sind. So starb hier 1784 die Opernsängerin Ann Cargill, als The Nancy vor der Insel sank. Ihr Geist soll nach verschiedenen Erzählungen noch immer auf der Insel spuken. Ein weiteres bekanntes Wrack, welches man heute noch besichtigen kann, ist das Frachtschiff Cité de Verdun das 1925 vor der Insel unterging.

Neben dem Schiffsfriedhof kann man auf der Insel noch die Wohnhäuser und die Schmiede der Bauarbeiter vom Bishop Rock Lighthouse erkunden.

Rosevear (Cornish: Ros Veur "great promontory")[1] is the largest (0.63 hectares (1.6 acres)) of the group of rocks known as the Western Rocks, Isles of Scilly. The islands are on eastern side of the Atlantic Ocean on the south-west approaches to the island of Great Britain and are renowned for the numerous shipwrecks in the area and the nearby Bishop Rock lighthouse. All the uninhabited islands are owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and are managed by the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, which looks after the archaeological and historical remains on the islands, as well as the flora and fauna.
