L'île a une superficie de 6.69 hectares, sa voisine Gröde est environ 40 fois plus grande qu'elle, et n'a pas de population permanente. De plus, elle se trouve à exactement 3.30 kilomètres des côtes allemandes.

Habel (dänisch: Habel, friesisch: Haabel) ist mit 6 Hektar[1] (nach anderen Angaben 7,4 Hektar[2]) die kleinste Hallig im nordfriesischen Wattenmeer. Sie gehört verwaltungsmäßig zur Gemeinde Gröde. Ihre Länge beträgt rund 655 Meter und ihre maximale Breite etwas über 100 Meter.
