geo.wikisort.org - IslandDesertores Islands are a group of islands in the Sea of Chiloé, between Chiloé Island and the mainland of Chile. They are the easternmost islands of the Chiloé Archipelago. They are administered as part of the Chaitén commune, in the Palena Province, unlike the rest of the Archipelago, which forms Chiloé Province. Talcan, the biggest and easternmost of the Desertores Islands, is just six km from the mainland.

Las islas Desertores (también conocidas como Grupo Desertores) son el conjunto más oriental de islas e islotes del archipiélago de Chiloé. Se ubican entre la isla de Apiao y Chiloé Continental, a 20 km al noroeste de Chaitén, y separan al golfo de Ancud del golfo Corcovado. Está integrado por las islas Chulín, Chuit, Imerquiña, Talcán, Autení y Nayahué, y los islotes Nihuel y O'Higgins.
