The Esaro is a river in the province of Cosenza, Calabria, southern Italy.[1] Its source is near Sant'Agata di Esaro. The river flows northeast near Roggiano Gravina before being joined by a left tributary, the Grondo, and a right tributary a short distance further. It then joins the Coscile as a right tributary of that river north of Spezzano Albanese, near the ancient site known as Interamnium. It is the main tributary of the Coscile.

L'Esaro è un fiume della Calabria occidentale che ha origine tra il monte Petricelle (1.758 m) e il monte La Caccia (1.744 m). È il principale tributario del fiume Coscile e il principale subaffluente del Crati. Presenta un ampio bacino di raccolta, che drena tramite numerosi affluenti come i torrenti Gronda e Rosa ed i fiumi Occido e Fullone.
