The Besbre (French pronunciation: [bɛbʁ]) is a river in central France, a left tributary of the Loire. It is 106 km (66 mi) long.[1] Its source is on the mountain of Puy de Montoncel, northeast of Thiers, in the Massif Central. The Besbre flows generally north, through the following departments and towns:
- Allier: Laprugne, Lapalisse, Dompierre-sur-Besbre
- Loire: Saint-Priest-la-Prugne

Die Besbre ist ein Fluss in der französischen Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, der großteils im Département Allier verläuft. Nur ein kurzes Stück berührt sie auch das benachbarte Département Loire. Die Besbre entspringt im Gemeindegebiet von Lavoine, entwässert generell Richtung Nord und mündet nach rund 106[2] Kilometern im Gemeindegebiet von Diou als linker Nebenfluss in die Loire. Kurz vor der Mündung unterquert die Besbre den Canal latéral à la Loire.
