La denominazione è stata assegnata dall'Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in associazione con la denominazione dell'Husky Dome, il punto più elevato di queste vette, in onore dei cani da slitta di razza Husky, che avevano permesso alla New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition, 1961–62, di arrivare fin sulla vetta.[1]

Die Husky Heights sind ein abgeflachter, eisbedeckter Höhenzug in der antarktischen Ross Dependency. Er überragt rund 6 km südöstlich des Haynes Table das Kopfende des Brandau-Gletschers im Königin-Maud-Gebirge.

They were named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in association with Husky Dome, the highest point on these heights.[1]
