Monte Cara is a mountain in western part of the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde. Its elevation is 490 m.[2] It resembles a human face looking at the sky, hence its name, which means "face mountain". It is a landmark of the city of Mindelo, from which it can be seen across Porto Grande Bay.[2]

Le mont Cara (en portugais : Monte Cara) est un sommet d'origine volcanique situé dans le Nord-Ouest de l'île de São Vicente (Cap-Vert). Avec une altitude de 490 m, il domine le port de Porto Grande et fait face à la ville de Mindelo, implantée à l'autre extrémité de la baie, qui est une caldeira ennoyée[1].
