Der Moore Peak ist ein etwa 2500 m hoher Berggipfel auf der antarktischen Ross-Insel. Er ragt 2,6 km westsüdwestlich des Hauptgipfels von Mount Terror an dessen Westhang sowie 1,5 km südlich des Mount Sutherland auf.

Das Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names benannte ihn im Jahr 2000 auf Vorschlag des neuseeländischen Geochemiker Philip Raymond Kyle nach James A. Moore, Mitglied der Mannschaft des New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology aus Socorro, New Mexico, die zwischen 1983 und 1986 in zwei antarktischen Sommerkampagnen am Mount Erebus tätig war.

Moore Peak (.mw-parser-output .geo-default,.mw-parser-output .geo-dms,.mw-parser-output .geo-dec{display:inline}.mw-parser-output .geo-nondefault,.mw-parser-output .geo-multi-punct{display:none}.mw-parser-output .longitude,.mw-parser-output .latitude{white-space:nowrap}77°31′S 168°27′E) is a peak rising to about 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) on the west slope of Mount Terror, Ross Island, Antarctica. The peak is 1.6 nautical miles (3 km) west-southwest of the summit of Mount Terror and 1 nautical mile (2 km) south of Mount Sutherland. At the suggestion of P.R. Kyle it was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 2000 after James A. Moore, a member of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology team on Mount Erebus in the 1983–84 and 1985–86 field seasons. He completed his Master of Science thesis on the geology of Mount Erebus.[1]
