Elle a une superficie de 4,4 km² pour une longueur de côte de 10 km[1]. Elle culmine à 112 m d'altitude[2]. Le village éponyme situé sur l'île fait partie de la municipalité de Preko (Comitat de Zadar), sa population était de 31 habitants en 2011.

Rivanj is an Adriatic Sea island in the Zadar Archipelago, between the islands of Sestrunj and Ugljan, with an area of 4.4 square kilometres (1.7 sq mi)[1] (length 3.4 km (2.1 mi), width up to 1.4 km (0.9 mi)); population 31 (2011);[2] highest peak Lukocina (112 metres (367 feet)). The only village is Rivanj, located in the interior of the island; below it, on the south-western coast, is a small harbour with a hamlet. The island is largely covered with underbrush and thicket. Rivanj has a daily ferry and ship line with Zadar. The present village was allegedly founded by the inhabitants of the island of Ugljan. Rivanj is frequented by boaters.

Rivani[4], Rivagno[5], Rivagn[6][7] (in croato: Rivanj), detto anche Raviane[4][8], è una piccola isola della Croazia situata nel mare Adriatico tra Sestrugno e Ugliano; fa parte dell'arcipelago zaratino. Amministrativamente appartiene al comune di Oltre, nella regione zaratina. Nell'Alto Medioevo era chiamata anche Rivan e Ripanium[4][8] e faceva parte in epoca asburgica del comune di Zara[9]. Il piccolo abitato di Rivani, con 31 abitanti[3], si trova al centro dell'isola; un piccolo porticciolo è sulla costa sud-ovest. L'isola è collegata giornalmente con Zara.
