Description

Elle est située dans la baie de Kvarner, entre l'île de Krk et l'île de Cres, et a une superficie de 8,6 km² environ, pour une longueur de 6,3 km sur une largeur de 2,3 km. La longueur de la côte représente 18,4 km[1].

Une démarche est initiée en 2010 pour une déclaration de réserve zoologique et botanique.

Plavnik (italienisch Isola Plavnik) ist eine kroatische Insel in der Kvarner-Bucht der Adria, zwischen den größeren Inseln Cres und Krk gelegen, mit einer Länge von 6,3 km von Nordwest nach Südost.

Plavnik is an unpopulated island in the Adriatic Sea, belonging to Croatia located between the Central Straits and the Kvarner Bay. The Krusija Channel cuts it off from the eastern coast of the island of Cres.[2] This channel is the shortest route from the Adriatic Sea through the islands to Rijeka. A lighthouse, established in 1890, sits at the northwestern point of the islet, marking the east side of the narrowest opening of the Krusija Channel.[3]
