Moody Island ist eine 16 km lange und vereiste Insel des Marshall-Archipels vor der Saunders-Küste des westantarktischen Marie-Byrd-Lands. Im Sulzberger-Schelfeis liegt sie zwischen Kizer Island und Steventon Island.

Der United States Geological Survey kartierte sie anhand eigener Vermessungen und Luftaufnahmen der United States Navy aus den Jahren von 1959 bis 1965. Das Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names benannte sie 1966 nach Edward Lester Moody (1911–1984), Hundeschlittenführer bei der zweiten Antarktisexpedition (1933–1935) des US-amerikanischen Polarforschers Richard Evelyn Byrd.

Moody Island is an ice-covered island 19 kilometres (10 nmi) long, between Kizer Island and Steventon Island in the Sulzberger Ice Shelf, Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It was mapped from surveys by the United States Geological Survey and from U.S. Navy air photos (1959–65), and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for E.L. Moody, a dog-driver with the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1933–35).[1]

L'isola Moody è un'isola rocciosa della Terra di Marie Byrd, in Antartide. L'isola, che è completamente ricoperta dai ghiacci e che si estende in direzione est/ovest per circa 18,5 km, fa parte dell'arcipelago Marshall e, come le altre isole di questo arcipelago, si trova davanti alla costa di Saunders, all'interno della baia di Sulzberger, dove è completamente circondata dai ghiacci della piattaforma glaciale Sulzberger e dove giace subito a ovest dell'isola Steventon.[1]
