Die Grinder-Insel (oder auch Grinder Island) ist eine eisbedeckte Insel, die etwa 22 km südwestlich der Steventon-Insel im Marshall-Archipel innerhalb des Sulzberger-Schelfeis vor der Saunders-Küste des westantarktischen Marie-Byrd-Lands liegt.

Sie wurde vom United States Geological Survey und mittels Luftaufnahmen der United States Navy zwischen 1959 und 1965 kartografisch erfasst. Das Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names benannte sie nach Harry W. Grinder, Flugzeugmechaniker auf der McMurdo-Station im Jahr 1967.

Grinder Island is one of the ice-covered islands in the Marshall Archipelago, located within the Sulzberger Ice Shelf off the coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. The island is 13 kilometres (7 nmi) long and 2 kilometres (1 nmi) wide and lies 24 kilometres (13 nmi) southwest of Steventon Island. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–65, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Harry W. Grinder, a U.S. Navy aviation structural mechanic of McMurdo Station, 1967.[1]

L'isola Grinder è un'isola rocciosa della Terra di Marie Byrd, in Antartide. L'isola, che è completamente ricoperta dai ghiacci e che si estende in direzione est/ovest per circa 12 km e in direzione nord/sud per circa 1, fa parte dell'arcipelago Marshall e, come le altre isole di questo arcipelago, si trova davanti alla costa di Saunders, all'interno della baia di Sulzberger, dove è completamente circondata dai ghiacci della piattaforma glaciale Sulzberger e dove giace subito a nord dell'isola Orr e a sud dell'isola Madden.[1]
