Das Kap Gotley ist ein Kap an der Küste des ostantarktischen Kemplands. Sie liegt am östlichen Ende der Austnes-Halbinsel und begrenzt nördlich die Einfahrt zur Edward-VIII-Bucht.

Norwegische Kartografen, die sie auch deskriptiv benannten, kartierten sie anhand von Luftaufnahmen, die bei der Lars-Christensen-Expedition 1936/37 entstanden. Sie benannten sie als Austnestangen (frei übersetzt Osthalbinselzunge). Eine neuerliche Kartierung erfolgte im Rahmen der Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions. Das Antarctic Names Committee of Australia benannte das Kap 1958 nach Aubrey V. Gotley, der die 1948 auf der Insel Heard tätige Mannschaft der Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions geleitet hatte.

Cape Gotley (.mw-parser-output .geo-default,.mw-parser-output .geo-dms,.mw-parser-output .geo-dec{display:inline}.mw-parser-output .geo-nondefault,.mw-parser-output .geo-multi-punct{display:none}.mw-parser-output .longitude,.mw-parser-output .latitude{white-space:nowrap}66°42′S 57°19′E) is a cape forming the eastern extremity of Austnes Peninsula at the north side of the entrance to Edward VIII Bay, Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from aerial photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and called "Austnestangen" (the east cape tongue), a name derived from that of the peninsula. The area was remapped by Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) and in 1958 the cape renamed by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for A.V. Gotley, officer in charge of the ANARE party on Heard Island in 1948.[1]
