Die Glade Bay ist eine dreieckige und an ihrer Einfahrt 50 km breite Bucht der Amundsen-See vor der Bakutis-Küste des westantarktischen Marie-Byrd-Lands. Begrenzt wird sie durch den nördlichen Teil von Wright Island, durch die Front des Getz-Schelfeises und die Nordwestseite des Murray Foreland auf der Martin-Halbinsel.

Der United States Geological Survey kartierte sie anhand eigener Vermessungen und Luftaufnahmen der United States Navy aus den Jahren von 1959 bis 1967. Das Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names benannte sie nach Gerald Leon Glade (* 1931), Hubschrauberpilot auf der USS Atka bei der ersten Operation Deep Freeze von 1956 bis 1957 sowie stellvertretender Kommandant der Unterstützungseinheiten der US Navy in Antarktika von 1975 bis 1976.

Glade Bay is an open triangular-shaped bay in the Amundsen Sea, 56 kilometres (30 nmi) wide at the broad north entrance and defined by the angle formed by the northern part of Wright Island, the front of the Getz Ice Shelf, and the northwest side of Murray Foreland, Martin Peninsula, on the Bakutis Coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photographs, 1959–67, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Commander Gerald L. Glade, U.S. Navy, a helicopter pilot in USS Atka on U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze, 1956–57, and Deputy Commander, Naval Support Force, Antarctica, 1975–76.[1]
