Il Peneo (in greco Πηνειός Pēneiòs) è un fiume del Peloponneso, Grecia, lungo 70 km. Probabilmente non ebbe un nome prima della caratterizzazione mitologica del dio Peneo. Nasce dal Monte Erimanto (Olonos), e sfocia in una baia, a sud-ovest di Gastouni, facente parte del Mare Ionio. Il fiume scorre attraverso la parte sud della piana di Ilia.

Der Pinios (griechisch Πηνειός) ist ein etwa 70 Kilometer langer Fluss im Nordwesten der Halbinsel Peloponnes.

The Pineiós (Greek: Πηνειός, Latin: Peneus) is a river in Peloponnese, Greece. It is probably not named after the god Peneus. It is 70 km (43 mi) long.[1] Its source is on the southwestern slope of the mountain Erymanthus, near the village Kryovrysi. It empties into a bay of the Ionian Sea, southwest of Gastouni. For a part of its upper course, it forms the border between Elis and Achaea. The river flows through the plain of Elis. The river passes through the following villages:
