Geografia
Nasce a la Bâtie-des-Fonds nelle Prealpi del Diois. Nella prima parte del suo percorso ha un regime torrentizio; a partire da Crest acquista un aspetto più pacato. Infine si getta nel Rodano in un grande delta alluvionale.
È un fiume di tipo mediterraneo, calmo e piccolo in estate, violento in autunno ed in primavera.

Die Drôme ist ein Fluss im Südosten Frankreichs, der im gleichnamigen Département Drôme in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes verläuft. Sie entspringt in den französischen Voralpen auf 1600 Metern Höhe im Gemeindegebiet von La Bâtie-des-Fonds und entwässert generell Richtung Nordwest bis West. Nach rund 111 Kilometern[2] mündet die Drôme südlich von Valence, im Gemeindegebiet von Loriol-sur-Drôme, als linker Nebenfluss in die Rhône. Sie ist ein typisch mediterraner Fluss, der im Sommer wenig Wasser führt und sich im Frühling und Herbst in ein reißendes Gewässer verwandelt.[en] Drôme (river)

Its source is in the western foothills of the Alps, near the village Valdrôme. It flows into the Rhône near Loriol-sur-Drôme, between Valence and Montélimar.
