El río Vis o Visrivier o Fish (en inglés, Fish River; en alemán, Fischfluss; y en afrikáans, Visrivier) es un largo río de Namibia, un afluente del río Orange en el que confluye en la frontera con Sudáfrica, a unos 100 kilómetros del océano Atlántico.

Existe otro Visrivier en Sudáfrica, en la Provincia del Cabo Oriental.

Tiene 650 kilómetros de largo, fluyendo de la represa Hardap cerca de Mariental. El flujo del río es estacional; en invierno puede secarse río arriba totalmente. A pesar de ello, se encuentra el espectacular Cañón del Río Fish, un cañón de 160 kilómetros de largo, y con puntos de hasta 550 metros de profundidad.

Der Fischfluss (englisch Fish River, afrikaans Visrivier) ist mit 650 Kilometer Länge der längste Fluss und ein Wassereinzugsgebiet in Namibia. Er führt als Rivier periodisch Wasser und ist nicht schiffbar. Den Fischfluss bezeichnet der Geograph Roger Swart als „einzigen annähernd ständig wasserführenden Fluss“ im Inland Namibias.[2]

From there the flow is entirely blocked,[1] all further flow downstream coming from tributaries downstream from the dam. The flow of the river is seasonal; in winter the river can dry up completely. Despite this, the river is the site of the spectacular Fish River Canyon, a canyon 160 km long, and at points as much as 550 m deep.
