The Varzina (Russian: Варзина) is a river in the north of the Kola Peninsula in Murmansk Oblast, Russia. It is 32 kilometres (20 mi) long, and has a drainage basin of 1,450 square kilometres (560 sq mi).[1] The Varzina originates in the Lake Yenozero and flows into the Barents Sea. Its biggest tributary is the Penka. The river is famous for its sport fishing possibilities. The lower and middle sections both have a fishing camp, mainly for salmon fishing. The upper part of the river has the third camp. It is well-known for it brown trout fly fishing.[2]

La Varzina (russo Варзина) è un fiume sito nel nord della penisola di Kola nell'Oblast' di Murmansk in Russia. Esso è lungo 32 km e possiede un bacino di 1450 km².[1] Il fiume nasce dal lago Ënozero e sfocia nella baia omonima, che a sua volta si getta nel golfo Zapadnyj Nokuevskij, nel mare di Barents. Il suo maggiore affluente è il fiume Penka. Lungo il suo corso, bagna il villaggio disabitato di Varzino.[2] Nella baia della Varzina morì in circostanze misteriose il capitano Hugh Willoughby che vi si fermò per l'inverno del 1554.[3]
