Die Prießnitz ist ein rechter Nebenfluss der Elbe in Sachsen. Bis auf ein kurzes Stück an ihrem Oberlauf liegt die 25,4 km lange Prießnitz im Gebiet der Stadt Dresden,[1] in deren Gemarkungen sie entspringt und auch in die Elbe mündet. Ein großer Teil des Flusslaufs liegt im Landschaftsschutzgebiet Dresdner Heide, nur etwa 500 Meter sind kurz vor der Mündung im innerstädtischen Siedlungsbereich verrohrt.
