The Călmățui is a left tributary of the Danube in Romania.[1][2] Its source is a few km southwest of Buzău. It flows generally eastwards and flows into the Danube at Gura Călmățui.[3] Its length is 152 km (94 mi) and its basin size is 1,668 km2 (644 sq mi).[2]
