The Caripi River (Portuguese: Rio Caripi) is a river of the state of Pará, Brazil. It is a left tributary of the Maracanã River.

Course

The Caripi River is the main tributary of the Maracanã River, which it enters from the left.[1] The lower reaches of the river are protected by the 30,179 hectares (74,570 acres) Maracanã Marine Extractive Reserve, created in 2002.[2]

The river is mainly surrounded by forest.[3] The region has a relatively low population, with 43 people per square kilometer.[4] The average temperature is 24 °C (75 °F).
