Der McKay Creek ist ein 250 m langer Schmelzwasserfluss im ostantarktischen Viktorialand. Im Taylor Valley fließt er vom Suess-Gletscher in ostnordöstlicher Richtung zum Tschadsee.

Das Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names benannte ihn 1996 nach dem Planetologen Christopher P. McKay (* 1955) von der NASA, der ab 1982 limnologische Untersuchungen im Hoaresee vorgenommen und dabei Pionierarbeit auf dem Gebiet der Ganzjahresdatenaufnahme zur Ökologie in den Antarktischen Trockentälern geleistet hatte.

McKay Creek (.mw-parser-output .geo-default,.mw-parser-output .geo-dms,.mw-parser-output .geo-dec{display:inline}.mw-parser-output .geo-nondefault,.mw-parser-output .geo-multi-punct{display:none}.mw-parser-output .longitude,.mw-parser-output .latitude{white-space:nowrap}77°39′S 162°45′E) is a meltwater stream, 250 metres (270 yd) long, heading on Suess Glacier west-southwest of the west end of Lake Chad at about 100 metres (330 ft) elevation and flowing east-northeast into Lake Chad in Taylor Valley, Victoria Land, Antarctica. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1996 after Christopher P. McKay, a NASA planetary scientist, who conducted limnological research on Lake Hoare from 1982 and pioneered the use of year-round environmental data collection in dry valley ecosystems.[1]
