Le Barrage de Souapiti[1],[2] également connu sous le nom de projet hydroélectrique de Souapiti [3] ou centrale hydroélectrique de Souapiti[4], est un projet de conservation de l'eau en république de Guinée[5], situé sur le fleuve Konkouré[6], avec une capacité totale installée de 550 MW. Ce projet a été construit par China International Water & Electric Corporation (CWE)[7].

La centrale devrait coûter environ 2 milliards de dollars[8].


Histoire


La cérémonie d'inauguration de la centrale hydroélectrique de Souapiti a eu lieu le 22 décembre 2015[9],[10].

La centrale hydroélectrique devrait être achevée et mise en service en 2021[11],[12].
