Présentation

Le lac a une superficie de 54,9 kilomètres carrés et une altitude de 96,1 mètres ce qui en fait le 74ème lac de Finlande[3].

Le Tarjanne a une hauteur d'eau égale a celle des lacs voisins Vaskivesi, Visuvesi, Palovesi et Ruovesi. Si l'on considère que ces cinq lacs forment un seul lac nommé Iso-Tarjannevesi, sa surface est de 210 km² qui le classe 18ème lac de Finlande.

Tarjanne (also Tarjannevesi) is a medium-sized lake in Finland. It is situated in the municipalities of Ruovesi, Virrat and Mänttä-Vilppula in the Pirkanmaa region in western Finland. The lake is part of the Kokemäenjoki basin. The main inflows are the lake Vaskivesi and a chain of lakes north of it in the west and a chain of lakes from the lake Pihlajavesi in the north. The lake drains into the Lake Ruovesi in the south.[1]
