Geografía
El lago se encuentra en el parque nacional de Grand Teton, al final del cañón Avalanche.[1]Al lago se llega a través de una serie de senderos. El recorrido total es de 5,15 kilómetros ida y vuelta desde el aparcamiento al lago.[2] El lago se encuentra aproximadamente a 1,5 km del lago Bradley. Su longitud es de 1,28 km y su anchura máxima es de 960 metros.
El lago Taggart se encuentra en buenas condiciones en relación con los niveles de eutrofización aunque hay una importante afluencia de fosfato proveniente de fuentes naturales.[3] La turbidez es baja y los niveles de pH en el lago Taggart van de 8,5 a 8,7 en el rango alcalino.[4]

Der Taggart Lake ist ein See im Grand-Teton-Nationalpark im Westen des US-Bundesstaates Wyoming. Der durch Gletscher geformte See liegt an der Ostseite der Teton Range, am östlichen Ende des Avalanche Canyons unterhalb des Nez Perce Peak.[1] Der Bradley Lake liegt 2,4 km nördlich des Sees. Der Taggart Lake kann über den 4,8 km langen Taggart Lake Trail erreicht werden, der am Taggart Lake Trailhead im Jackson Hole startet. Beliebt ist auch der 8,9 km lange Rundweg, der an beiden Seen vorbeiführt.[2] Der Taggart Lake liegt auf einer Höhe von 2101 m über dem Meeresspiegel[3] und entwässert sich über den bereits aus dem Avalanche Canyon in den See hineinfließenden Taggart Creek in den Cottonwood Creek, einen Nebenfluss des Snake Rivers.[en] Taggart Lake

The natural lake is located at the terminus of Avalanche Canyon.[3] A number of hiking trails can be found near the lake including a 3 miles (4.8 km) roundtrip hike commencing from the Taggart Lake Trailhead parking area.[4] The lake is approximately one mile south of Bradley Lake reckoned by trail distance.
