Leigh Lake is located in Grand Teton National Park, in the U. S. state of Wyoming. The glacially formed lake is 2.4 miles (3.9 km) wide and 2.8 miles (4.5 km) long from north to south. Situated just southeast of Mount Moran, the lake is at the terminus of both Paintbrush and Leigh Canyons.[2] The lake can be accessed from the Leigh Lake Trail which follows the eastern shores of String Lake a distance of one mile (1.6 km) and is an easy hike over level terrain.[3] The Leigh Lake Ranger Patrol Cabin is located on the northeast shore of the lake and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The lake was named for Richard "Beaver Dick" Leigh, a mountain guide.[4]

Der Leigh Lake ist ein See im Grand-Teton-Nationalpark im Westen des US-Bundesstaates Wyoming. Der durch Gletscher geformte See ist 3,9 km breit und 4,5 km lang und liegt auf einer Höhe von 2097 m über dem Meeresspiegel[1] Er liegt südöstlich des Mount Moran am Fuße der Teton Range und bildet das untere Ende sowohl des Paintbrush Canyons als auch des Leigh Canyons.[2] Der See kann über den Leigh Lake Trail erreicht werden, der nördlich des Jenny Lake startet und dem östlichen Ufer des String Lake auf einer Strecke von 1,6 km folgt.[3] Die Leigh Lake Ranger Patrol Cabin befindet sich am nordöstlichen Ufer des Sees und ist im National Register of Historic Places eingetragen. Benannt wurde der See nach Richard "Beaver Dick" Leigh, einem Bergführer.[4]

È un lago naturale situato lungo il versante sud-orientale del Monte Moran e dal quale è possibile vedere molte delle vette della catena dei Teton Range. L'accesso al lago è possibile seguendo alcuni percorsi escursionistici per una lunghezza di circa 1,6 km su un terreno pianeggiante[2]. Sulla sponda nord del lago si trova la Leigh Lake Ranger Patrol Cabin, una vecchia caserma dei ranger oggi inserita nell'elenco del National Register of Historic Places.
