Geography

The lake can be reached from Vouvry via the locality of Miex and then crossing the Col de Tanay.

To the northwest, the lake is dominated by Le Grammont and Les Jumelles.

The lake is part of the Rhone drainage basin.

The surrounding area is part of the Swiss Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments

Der Lac de Tanay oder Lac de Taney ist ein kleiner Bergsee auf 1408 m ü. M. auf Gemeindegebiet von Vouvry im Kanton Wallis in der Schweiz. Im Nordwesten wird er umrahmt von den Gipfeln des Grammont und der Jumelles. Er ist im Bundesinventar der Landschaften und Naturdenkmäler von nationaler Bedeutung mit der Nummer 1702 enthalten.[2]
