It is located 0.5 mi (0.80 km) south of Hawley Lake [3] and 16.6 mi (26.7 km) from Whiteriver at an elevation of 8,251 ft (2,515 m).[4] The lake is a reservoir on Earl Creek[5] formed by Earl Park Dam with a surface area of 47 acres (19 ha)[2]. Fish varieties found include brook, rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout.[6][2]

As of 2008, the lake is restricted to flyfishing. Regulations require artificial lures and catch and release fishing.[7]
