Der Keitele ist ein See in Finnland, der mit 498,41 km² der neuntgrößte des Landes ist.[1] Der See ist in drei Teile geteilt, Ylä-, Keski-, and Ala-Keitele. Keski-Keitele ist der größte Teil. Die Orte Äänekoski und Viitasaari liegen am Ufer des Sees. Der See liegt auf 99,5 m Höhe. Er fließt zum Päijänne ab und liegt somit im Einzugsgebiet des Kymijoki.

Keitele is a rather large lake located in Central Finland. With the area of 493.59 km2 it is the 9th largest lake in the country. The lake is divided into three regions, Ylä-, Keski-, and Ala-Keitele, of which Keski-Keitele is the largest. Water in the lake is clear and in excellent condition.[2] The towns of Äänekoski and Viitasaari are located on the shores of Keitele.
