Der Baao-See ist ein Binnensee in der Provinz Camarines Sur in der Region Bicol auf den Philippinen. Der See liegt westlich des Vulkans Iriga, die gleichnamige Gemeinde Baao liegt ca. 4,8 km östlich des Sees.

Der See umfasst eine Fläche von 1,77 km² und gehört zum Wassereinzugsgebiet des Bicol-Flusses. Wichtige kommerziell genutzte Fischarten sind der Schlangenkopffisch Channa striata, die Buntbarscharten Oreochromis mossambicus und Oreochromis niloticus und Raubwelse (Clarias sp.).

[en] Lake Baao

Lake Baao is a shallow freshwater lake located in Baao, Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region of Luzon in the Philippines.[1] It has an estimated surface area of 177 hectares (1.77 km2) and reaches an average of only 1 metre (3 ft 3 in) deep. The lake is fed by local run-off and several small rivers, the most important of which is the Tabao River, which flows from another lake, Lake Buhi.[2] The water from the lake then drains west into the Bicol River.
