Die tansanischen Rubeho-Berge werden aus Granit- und Gneis-Blöcken gebildet und zählen zur Kette der geologisch alten (circa 200 Millionen Jahre) Eastern Arc Mountains. Diese tragen Regenwälder, die seit etwa 30 Millionen Jahren existieren und ausgesprochen artenreich sind.[1][2]

The Rubeho Mountains are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, and are home to a biodiverse community of flora and fauna with large numbers of endemic species.
