Il monte è stato mappato dall'United States Geological Survey (USGS) sulla base di rilevazioni e foto aeree scattate dalla U.S. Navy nel periodo 1956-66.

La denominazione è stata assegnata dall'Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in onore di Henry H.J. Feldkotter, elettricista di aerei presso la Stazione Ellsworth durante l'inverno 1958.[1]

Mount Feldkotter ist ein 1510 m hoher Berg im westantarktischen Queen Elizabeth Land. Im südlichen Abschnitt der Neptune Range in den Pensacola Mountains ragt er 6 km südlich des Gambacorta Peak auf.

Mount Feldkotter is a mountain in Antarctica, 1,510 metres (4,950 ft) high, standing 4 nautical miles (7 km) south of Gambacorta Peak in the southern Neptune Range, Pensacola Mountains, Antarctica. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1956–66, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Henry H.J. Feldkotter, an aviation electrician at Ellsworth Station during the winter of 1958.[1]
