I Cathedral Peaks sono un aspro massiccio montuoso antartico, da cui svettano una serie di cospicui picchi rocciosi, situato a nord del Lubbock Ridge e che si estende per 15 km lungo il margine orientale del Ghiacciaio Shackleton, nei Monti della Regina Maud, in Antartide. Visti dal ghiacciaio ricordano le guglie e i pinnacoli di una tipica cattedrale gotica.

La denominazione è stata assegnata da F. Alton Wade (1903-1978), che aveva lavorato in quest'area come leader del gruppo della Texas Tech University che conduceva indagini sul Ghiacciaio Shackleton nel 1962-63.[1]

Die Cathedral Peaks (englisch für Kathedralspitzen) sind ein schroffes Massiv mit mehreren markanten Berggipfeln in der antarktischen Ross Dependency. Im Königin-Maud-Gebirge erstrecken sie sich nördlich des Lubbock Ridge über eine Länge von 13 km entlang der Ostflanke des Shackleton-Gletschers.

The Cathedral Peaks (.mw-parser-output .geo-default,.mw-parser-output .geo-dms,.mw-parser-output .geo-dec{display:inline}.mw-parser-output .geo-nondefault,.mw-parser-output .geo-multi-punct{display:none}.mw-parser-output .longitude,.mw-parser-output .latitude{white-space:nowrap}84°44′S 175°40′W) form a rugged mountain mass surmounted by several conspicuous peaks, located north of Lubbock Ridge and extending for about 8 nautical miles (15 km) along the eastern margin of Shackleton Glacier. From the glacier the peaks resemble the spires and turrets of a cathedral. They were named by F. Alton Wade, who worked in this area as leader of the Texas Tech Shackleton Glacier Party, 1962–63.[1]
