Géographie

Le massif se compose des :

• monts Yandang du nord (北雁荡山), situés à 68 km au nord du centre ville ;
• monts Yandang du sud (南雁荡山) ;
• monts Yandang du centre (中雁荡山) ;
• monts Yandang de l'est (东雁荡山) ;
• monts Yandang de l'ouest (西雁荡山).

Les plus hauts sommets sont dans les monts du nord avec l'aiguille Baigang (百岗尖) qui culmine à 1 150 m d'altitude et dans les monts du sud avec le pic Mingwang (明王峰) qui culmine à 1 077,7 m d'altitude.

Parc national des monts Yandang

La parc paysager des monts Yandang (雁荡山风景名胜区) a été proclamé parc national le 8 novembre 1982.

Es ist Bestandteil des 294,6 km² großen Yandangshan-Nationalparks.[1]

Yandang Mountains or Yandangshan (Chinese: t 雁蕩山, s 雁荡山, p Yàndàng Shān, lit. "Wild Goose Pond Mountain(s)") refers, in the broad sense, to a coastal mountain range in southeastern Zhejiang province in eastern China, covering much of the prefecture-level city of Wenzhou (from Pingyang County in the south to Yueqing County in the northeast) and extending to the county-level city of Wenling in Taizhou prefecture. The mountain range is divided in two by the Oujiang River, the two parts being the North Yandang and South Yandang. More narrowly, Yandangshan is also used to refer to Mount Yandang, a specific part of the North Yandang around an ancient caldera near a small town of the same name (雁荡镇, Yàndàng Zhèn). The highest peaks of North Yandang are located here, and this is also the main tourist spot. In this article, name "Yandang Mountains" is used to refer the mountain range and "Mt. Yandang" to refer to the caldera.
