Le mont Paget est le plus haut sommet de Géorgie du Sud. Il fait partie de la chaîne d'Allardyce et culmine à 2 935 mètres d'altitude[1]. C'est aussi le point culminant des territoires d'outre-mer du Royaume-Uni. Néanmoins, un sommet encore plus élevé, le mont Jackson, se trouve dans les revendications du Territoire antarctique britannique.

La première ascension fut réalisée le 30 décembre 1964 par trois membres de l’expédition militaire anglaise Combined Services Expedition dirigée par le commandant Malcolm Burley[2].

Mount Paget is a summit of Allardyce Range on the South Atlantic/Antarctic island of South Georgia. It is the highest peak on the island, and also the highest peak in any territory under the sovereignty of the United Kingdom (excluding the British Antarctic Territory, which has no permanent population and where British sovereignty is unrecognized by most countries, where Mount Hope is the highest peak), more than twice the height of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain on the island of Great Britain.
