The Altar (71°39′S 11°22′E) is a flat-topped 2,200-metre (7,200 ft) rock summit in Antarctica at the head of Grautskala Cirque, immediately west of Altarduken Glacier, in the Humboldt Mountains of Queen Maud Land. Discovered and given the descriptive name Altar by the German Antarctic Expedition under Ritscher, 1938–39.

Der Altar ist ein 2200 m hoher Berg mit abgeflachtem Gipfel im antarktischen Königin-Maud-Land. Er ragt am Kopfende des Talkessels Grautskåla unmittelbar westlich des Gletschers Altarduken im Alexander-von-Humboldt-Gebirge auf. Der Altar ist nicht zu verwechseln mit dem 2000 m hohen Altar Mountain in Viktorialand auf der anderen Seite von Antarktika.
