Sierra de Maracayú, o bien en portugués como Serra de Maracaju o con fonética originaria como Mbaracaju, es una cadena montañosa comprendida entre el estado de Mato Grosso, en Brasil,[1] y el Departamento de Canindeyú, de Paraguay. Divide el estado de Mato Grosso del Sur en dos cuencas hidrográficas: la del Paraguay y la del Paraná, siendo ambas por su parte, afluentes de la gran cuenca del Plata.[2] En ella se encuentra la línea fronteriza entre los dos países como Brasil y Paraguay, y también la convergencia de dos cordilleras como las de Amambay y la del Caaguazú en Paraguay.[3][4]
