Maja e Vjelakut (Albanian: Maja e Vjeljakut/Maja e Vjelakut/Maja Vjelakut/Majae Vjelakut/majën e Vjelakut; Serbian: Волујак, Volujak) is a peak of the Prokletije range in Kosovo,^[a] reaching a top height of 2,014 m (6,608 ft). Volujak creates part of the Rugova Canyon. This mountain can be seen from the city of Peja because it is only a few kilometers west of it.[1]

Having unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008, the Republic of Kosovo is formally recognised as an independent state by 97 UN member states (with another 15 states recognising it at some point but then withdrawing their recognition), while Serbia continues to claim Kosovo as a part of its own sovereign territory.
