The Harold Byrd Mountains (85°26′S 146°30′W), also known more simply as the Byrd Mountains, are a group of exposed mountains and nunataks which extend in an east–west direction between the lower part of Leverett Glacier and the head of the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica. They were discovered in December 1929 by the Byrd Antarctic Expedition geological party under Laurence Gould, and named by Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd for D. Harold Byrd, a cousin of his and a contributor towards the purchase of furs for the expedition.[1]

La chaîne Harold-Byrd (en anglais : Harold-Byrd Mountains), ou simplement chaîne Byrd, est un massif montagneux de la chaîne de la Reine-Maud, dans la chaîne Transantarctique, en Antarctique. Son point culminant est le mont Mahan à 1 260 mètres d'altitude dans les monts Bender. Elle se compose de petits groupes montagneux et de nunataks dominés par le plateau Stanford de l'escarpement Watson, entre le glacier Leverett à l'ouest et le glacier Reedy à l'est, en bordure de la barrière de Ross.
