Attavyros (Greek: Αττάβυρος) or Atavyros (Ατάβυρος) is the highest mountain on the island of Rhodes in the Dodecanese in Greece. It rises to a height of 1,215 m. It lies to the south of the village of Embonas.

In Greek mythology Althaemenes founded an altar to Zeus Atabyrios on the mountain. He was said to have chosen the site as the only point on Rhodes from which his homeland of Crete could be seen. The remains of the sanctuary can be seen near the summit.[1]

Der 1215 m hohe Attavyros (griechisch Αττάβυρος; auch mit Ataviros, Attaviros oder Atabyrios transkribiert) ist der höchste Berg der griechischen Insel Rhodos im Mittelmeer. Der massige Berg befindet sich südlich des Dorfes Embonas im mittleren Westen der Insel in der Attavyros-Kette. Ата́вирос[1][3] или Атабирий[4][5] (греч. Αττάβυρος) — гора в Греции на Родосе. Находится в западной части острова. Высота вершины составляет 1215 метров над уровнем моря[1]. Атавирос самая высокая точка Родоса. На плоской вершине установлен радар, он относится к сети PHARAOS и предназначен для контроля воздушного движения. Также там находится ветряки для выработки электроэнергии и развалины храма Зевса. На вершину можно добраться по грунтовой дороге.
