Der Khumbi Yul Lha ist der Heilige Berg der Sherpa. Seine Besteigung ist ein absolutes Tabu.

Der Berg liegt oberhalb der Ortschaft Khumjung zwischen den Flusstälern von Bhotekoshi und Dudhkoshi.

Khumbila or Khumbu Yül-Lha, roughly translated as "God of Khumbu" is one of the high Himalayan peaks in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal within the boundaries of Sagarmatha National Park. Considered too sacred to be climbed by most local Sherpa people, the mountain is considered home to the patron God of the local area.[1] Rising 5,761m above sea level, the mountain overlooks the famous southern approaches to its larger neighbours including Ama Dablam and Mount Everest.

Le Khumbila ou Khumbu Yül-Lha, littéralement le « dieu de Khumbu », est une montagne de l'Himalaya, située dans la région de Khumbu à l'Est du Népal, à l'intérieur du parc national de Sagarmatha. Cette montagne est considérée comme la maison d'un dieu local et trop sacrée pour être escaladée par la plupart des Sherpas[1].
