Die Wessel-Inseln (engl. Wessel Islands) sind eine Inselgruppe in Australien. Sie gehören zum Bundesstaat Northern Territory und erstrecken sich in einer Kette nordöstlich vom Arnhemland ins Meer hinaus. Marchinbar Island ist die größte Insel der Gruppe, weitere Inseln sind Elcho Island, Rimbija Island (die am weitesten im Ozean liegende der Inseln), Guluwuru Island, Raragala Island, Stevens Island, Burgunngura Island, Djeergaree Island, Yargara Island, Drysdale Island, Jirrgari Island, Graham Island, Alger Island, Abbott Island und Howard Island.

The Wessel Islands is a group of uninhabited islands in the Northern Territory of Australia. They extend in a more or less straight line from Buckingham Bay and the Napier Peninsula of Arnhem Land, and Elcho Island, to the northeast. Marchinbar Island is the largest of the group. Other islands include Elcho Island, Rimbija Island (the most outlying island), Guluwuru, Raragala, Stevens Island, Burgunngura, Djeergaree, Yargara, Drysdale Island, Jirrgari Island, Graham Island, Alger Island, Abbott Island, and Howard Island.

Le Isole Wessel[2] sono un gruppo di 35 isole[1] situate nel mare degli Arafura, all'estremità nord-est della Terra di Arnhem nel Territorio del Nord, in Australia. Le isole delimitano a nord-ovest il golfo di Carpentaria. Fanno parte della contea di East Arnhem. Sono terreni di proprietà aborigena gestiti dal Arnhem Land Aboriginal Land Trust[3].
