Ce sont deux îles volcaniques reliées par un pont naturel corallien de 137 m de large qui avant les années 1970 n'était franchissable qu'à marée basse. La plus haute montagne est le mont Tumutumu (491 m) sur Ofu, tandis que sur Olosega, c'est le mont Piumafua (629 m). La plus récente éruption volcanique s'est déroulée en 1866 à 3 km au sud-est d'Olosega.

Ofu dispose d'un petit aéroport.

Ofu-Olosega ist eine Doppelinsel der Manuainseln in Amerikanisch-Samoa. Die beiden Inseln Ofu und Olosega werden nur durch eine 70 Meter schmale Wasserstraße, die Asaga-Straße, voneinander getrennt. Ein großes Korallenriff umschließt beide Inseln. Ofu und Olosega stellen den über die Meeresoberfläche aufragenden Kegel eines inaktiven Doppelvulkans dar. Taʻū liegt den beiden Inseln mit 10 km Entfernung am nächsten. Administrativ bildet die Inselgruppe den Distrikt Manua von Amerikanisch-Samoa.

Ofu and Olosega are parts of a volcanic doublet in the Manu‘a Island Group, which is part of American Samoa in the Samoan Islands. These twin islands, formed from shield volcanoes, have a combined length of 6 km and a combined area of 12 square kilometers (5 square miles). Together, they have a population of about 500 people. Geographically, the islands are volcanic remnants separated by the narrow, 137-meter-wide (449-foot)) Āsaga Strait, composed of shallow-water coral reef. Before 1970, people crossed between the two islands by waiting until low tide and then wading across the shallow water of the strait. Since 1970, there has been a bridge over the strait, providing a single-lane road that connects the two islands.
